GUWAHATI: A woman was arrested at the Guwahati Railway Station by GRPS officials for the possession of 150 grams of heroin, worth approximately Rs. 30 lakhs on Tuesday, July 30.
The woman has been identified as Abitri Karmakar, who hails from Nadia district of West Bengal.
According to reports, Karmakar boarded the 12423 Rajdhani Express and was carrying the contraband item to New Delhi.
It should be noted that Karmakar had hidden part of the contraband items in 22 soap boxes.
A case is being registered under the NDPS Act after observing all formalities.
