GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam conducted a raid near Khanapara bus stand on November 8, within the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station during which one drug peddler was apprehended, and a significant quantity of suspected heroin, cash, and related items were seized.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of 30 vials containing a total of 42.5 grams of suspected heroin, along with ₹3,470 in cash.
The apprehended individual, identified as Hasina Begum, 28 years old was taken into custody during the raid.
Hasina Begum resides in a rented house in Koinadhora and hails from Karbala Bazar Village, in Goalpara.
The seized items have been handed over to the police and the apprehended is undergoing legal proceedings.
