Guwahati is all set to host the prestigious and most glamorous cine awards, Filmfare Awards on February 2020. On November 25 the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) signed a memorandum with the Times of India group to organize Filmfare Awards in Guwahati on February 15, 2020. It is to be noted that this is the first time ever that the gala event will be held out of Mumbai.
Ever since the announcement, Guwahati is buzzing with excitement to witness a significant Bollywood Award show which will be graced by majority of the Bollywood celebrities. It is the first time since ISL opening ceremony 2016 that a huge number of bollywood celebs will be coming to Guwahati.
Going by the usual trend of Filmfare we have drawn up a list of probable celebrities from the Bollywood industry who may attend the 65th Filmfare Awards to be held in Guwahati.
Here goes the list:
King Khan Shahrukh Khan
King Khan has been one of the most consistent host of Filmfare since the past years. He has hosted the show along with numerous other co-hosts and has also anchored all by himself. With his wit and charm he never fails to entertain the audience.
Karan Johar
Apart from being a renowned filmmaker of Bollywood Karan Johar has also co-hosted Filmfare several times with Sharukh Khan and Kapil Sharma.
Ps. It's not a Bollywood event if there is no Karan Johar in it.
Ayushmann Khurrana
With three path breaking block busters in 2019 Ayushmann Khurrana stands as a strong nominee for the Best actor award.
Vicky Kaushal
Vicky Kaushal led Uri: The Surgical Strike has changed the way Indian patriotic films were made. There was no sign of stopping at the box office as the film did supremely well. With his moving performance and catchy dialogues he stands a strong chance to be nominated at Filmfare.
The Gully Boy Gang
The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has changed how the world looks at hip hop and has given voice to rising Indian hip hop stars. This bollywood film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and stands as a major contender to win in various categories of the Filmfare award. Hence we expect the whole team to reach Guwahati.
Directors Abhinav Sinha and Aditya Dhar
Abhinav Sinha's Article 15 and Aditya Dhar's directorial debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike stands as two major films for winning various awards at Filmfare. We can expect the whole team of both the films to be present at the award night.
Newbies of Bollywood
Being the debutant actors of 2019 this would be Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday's first Filmfare which we feel they would never miss.
Hrithik Roshan
Being part of two highly grossed films of the year we hope Hrithik Roshan and the whole team of War and Super 30 will be a part of Filmfare.
We also expect Shahid Kapoor , Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kartik Aryan, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Mouni Roy, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sophie Choudry among others.
No award show is complete without music and dance hence we hope to see Varun Dhawan, Katrina Kaif, Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez among others to stun Guwahatians with their block buster performances.
However, this is just a probable list based on the previous attendance of the stars. We will have to wait for the final day to see the stars who show up.
