GUWAHATI: Senior Congress leader from Assam, Tarun Gogoi said the state Congress will support the new regional party.
Addressing the media Gogoi said that the Assam Congress will support the new regional political party when it is formed.
“We will support the new regional political party to fight against BJP,” said the former chief minister, Tarun Gogoi.

Meanwhile, AASU president Dipanka Nath hinted of forming a new political party and said that the details of which would be revealed in February.
“People of Assam are talking about a new political force and we are going to take the process forward after February,” said Nath.
It is to be mentioned that AASU will be holding a meeting on January 17 to outline the future strategy.
