GUWAHATI: Guwahati Jal Board have announced a temporary interruption of water supply in the Geetanagar zone and surrounding areas due to urgent maintenance work on October 21.

The affected regions include Greater Zoo Road, Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Tarun Nagar, Shreenagar, Bhaskar Nagar, Geetanagar, Ambikagiri Nagar, MT Road, Narikalbari, Kharghuli, Ramsahill, Hirimbapur, Panbazar, Silpukhuri, Latashil, Barowari, and more.
The interruption is attributed to a significant leakage in the main transmission pipeline located at Krishna Nagar, Chandmari. Repairs are scheduled to take place on October 21, 2024, with the water supply expected to resume once the rectification work is completed.
