GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board (GMDW&SB) has announced a temporary interruption in water supply across several areas in the city due to urgent leakage rectification work. The affected areas are serviced by the Ramsahill reservoir, encompassing DMA zones RH001, RH002, RH003, RH006, RH007, and RH009.

Residents in the Ramsahill region, Kharghuli, Hrimbapur, Latashil/Barowari, Panbazar/Fancy Bazar, and Silpukhuri will experience a disruption in their water supply throughout Thursday, July 4. The Guwahati Jal Board has stated that the supply is expected to resume by Friday, tentatively.
The emergency repair work is essential to address significant leaks detected in the water supply network, claims Guwahati Jal Board. The GMDW&SB assures that these repairs are crucial for maintaining the efficiency of the city’s water distribution system.
