GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) has announced that it will conduct testing of a 700mm diameter MS Transmission Main running from Dakhingaon Road to the Sonaighuli reservoir in the city from December 28.

This testing will include the filling of the reservoir and is scheduled to take place from December 28, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
During the testing phase, water leakage may occur at certain locations. GJB has assured that their team will promptly address and rectify any such issues that arise.
The GJB has appealed to all concerned residents and stakeholders to cooperate during this critical commissioning activity.
