GUWAHATI: A viral video showing a woman assaulting her elderly mother in Haryana’s Hisar has sparked outrage. The accused, identified as Rita, was caught on camera biting, slapping, and abusing her mother, Nirmala Devi, while making disturbing remarks. The incident reportedly took place at Modern Saket Colony in Hisar’s Azad Nagar.

Following the video's circulation, the victim’s son, Amardeep Singh, filed a police complaint, alleging that his sister had been keeping their mother captive and subjecting her to physical and mental harassment to take control of the property. The three-minute viral video shows Rita pulling her mother’s hair, biting her on the thigh, and verbally abusing her. At one point, she is heard shouting, "I will drink your blood," while continuing the assault.
Police have registered a case against Rita, and an investigation is underway.
