GUWAHATI: A tragic aircraft crash in Gujarat’s Amreli district claimed the life of a trainee pilot on Tuesday afternoon, April 22 according to media reports. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM when a trainer aircraft, operated by a private aviation academy, went down in a residential neighbourhood near Giriya Road in Amreli town.

Amreli Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Kharat, confirmed that the aircraft, which had departed from Amreli airport, was on a solo training flight when it crashed under unclear circumstances. Witnesses said the plane struck a tree before plunging onto an open plot and bursting into flames.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the trainee pilot could not be saved. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. No injuries were reported among residents in the area.
