Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Health Camps Witness Over 2 Crore Footfall

GUWAHATI: In the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the health camps have recorded a footfall exceeding 2 crore, as per official reports on December 29.

Under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, spanning 1,08,500 Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies, the cumulative footfall has reached 2,10,24,874. 

Key Activities in the Health Camps have been recorded as follows: 

-Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY): Creation and distribution of Ayushman cards using the Ayushman app. Over 32,54,611 physical cards were distributed; more than 1,44,80,498 cards created to date.

-Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: Screening of 80,01,825 individuals for TB symptoms. More than 4,86,043 referred to higher Public Health Facilities. Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 

-(PMTBMA) activities: Consent obtained from over 1,40,852 TB patients. Registration of more than 50,799 new Nikshay Mitras.

-Nikshay Poshan Yojana (NPY): Collection of details of 36,763 TB patients for Direct Benefit Transfer.

-Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Screening: Screening of over 8,51,194 individuals in Tribal-populated areas. 27,630 SCD-positive cases were referred to higher centers.

-Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Screening: Screening of 15,694,596 individuals for Hypertension and Diabetes. More than 7,32,057 suspected cases of Hypertension. More than 5,28,563 suspected cases of Diabetes. Referral of over 11,56,927 individuals to higher public health facilities.
