GUWAHATI: Bollywood actor Jagdeep passed away in Mumbai, following age-related health issues on July 9.
He was 81.

Jagdeep’s most memorable character is Soorma Bhopali in Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay. His catchphrase in the film “Mera naam Soorma Bhopali aise hi nahin hain” is still remembered by fans.
Jagdeep started his career as a child artiste and was seen in films like Bimal Roy’s Do Bigha Zamin, KA Abbas’ Munna and Guru Dutt’s Aar Paar.
