GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) took swift action on Monday, February 24, by deploying its Hoe Loader to clear unauthorised Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste from Rehabari Road. This initiative aims to enhance safety and traffic flow for both pedestrians and vehicles.

As part of its ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness and improve road conditions, the GMC issued a stern warning to residents and businesses, urging them not to dump construction materials on the roads. The GMC emphasised that violators would face fines if they fail to properly dispose of waste.
The GMC issued a clear message, "Don't dump construction materials on the road, or we'll clean it up for you—for a fine!"
Residents and businesses are urged to responsibly dispose of waste and contribute to keeping Guwahati clean.
