GUWAHATI: An active member of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) surrendered in Assam's Tinsukia district.
The surrendered cadre has been identified as Polash Moran.
Polash Moran voluntarily surrendered in the presence of high-ranking officials of the Tinsukia Police in the Philobari area.
It has been reported that Moran had fled from the ULFA camp and made the decision to surrender.
Polash Moran had joined the militant organization in 2019 and hails from Nalni village in the Pengeri area of Tinsukia.
The authorities are expected to provide necessary support and assistance to Moran as he reintegrates into civilian life.
