Two Men Belonging To Hindu Group Held For Placing Pakistan Flag In West Bengal Washroom

 

GUWAHATI: Two men associated with the ‘Sanatani Ekta Manch’ were arrested on Wednesday night (April 30) for allegedly attempting to provoke communal unrest by placing a Pakistan flag in a public washroom near Akaipur railway station in Bongaon, North 24 Parganas district. Reports suggest that the accused planned to write inflammatory slogans on the walls.

The arrested men, identified as Chandan Malakar and Progyajit Mondal, are local residents and reportedly active members of a political party. Reports indicate that the arrested individuals intended to write "Hindustan Murdabad" and "Pakistan Zindabad" alongside the flag to incite tensions.

A case has been registered, and police have assured strict action. Investigations are ongoing.
