GUWAHATI: In a crackdown on unauthorized businesses, the enforcement branch of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), in collaboration with revenue officials, sealed two jewellery shops for operating without a valid trade license.
The affected establishments are:
• Moti Jewellery, Lalmati
• Krishna – Guru Jewellery, Dehal Path, Beharbari
Speaking to GPlus about the raid, a GMC official said, “Two jewelery shops were sealed by GMC enforcement branch along with Revenue officials of GMC for operating without trade license.”
The action was taken as part of GMC's efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
