GUWAHATI: Two individuals were apprehended by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Terrorism, Assam, (DVAC) in alleged bribery charges in Kamrup and Goalpara, on January 5.
In the first case an individual called Pradip Kalita, Supervisor Kanungo of O/O Circle Officer, Samaria Revenue Circle, Kamrup after he allegedly accepted demanded bribe in his office, from the complainant for correction of name in a patta.
In the second case, DVAC, Assam, trapped red-handed one Budheswar Das, District Agricultural Officer, Goalpara after he allegedly accepted demanded bribe in his office, from the complainant as reward for releasing bills of the complainant.

Both the individuals have been taken into custody as further investigations are under way.
