Two city Restaurants handed "Shut Down Notice" for serving Unhygienic Food

GUWAHATI: The Food Safety Department handed a shut down notice for 10 days to two restaurants in Guwahati on 30 April after a raid was carried out by department. 

Tarun Das, a food Inspector with the department, said that the raid was carried out on 29 April after receiving complaints that the two restaurants -‘Nehars’ at Christian Basti and ‘Emperor’s China’ were serving unhygienic and unhealthy food to customers.

Das also mentioned that the kitchens of both restaurants were found “completely unhealthy and in unhygienic condition.”

The Food Safety Department handed a notice to the two city restaurants for a 10-day shutdown so that they can improve their quality.
