Two Assam Youths Win Laurels In Nepal

GUWAHATI: In a remarkable display of talent and skill, two youths from Badarpur, Assam, have excelled in the Indo-Nepal combined International Sports series competition held in Nepal. Indrajit Basfar and Chandraraj Singha, representing India, achieved stellar performances, securing gold and silver medals, respectively, in their respective categories.

The prestigious Indo-Nepal International Sports Competition, organised by Youth Games Council India, took place in Pokhara, Nepal, spanning from July 22 to 26. Indrajit Basfar showcased his prowess in the 1500m race Under 19 category, while Chandraraj Singha displayed his exceptional badminton skills in the Singles Under 19 category.

Amidst tough competition, Indrajit clinched the gold medal in the 1500m race, showcasing his speed and endurance on the track. Chandraraj's finesse and dedication on the badminton court earned him the silver medal, a testament to his remarkable talent.

The news of their victory has sparked joy and pride among the people of Badarpur and their family members. Both Indrajit and Chandraraj are former students of Badarpur Vidyamandir High School, where they laid the foundation of their athletic journey. Presently, Indrajit is a student at Cachar College, while Chandraraj pursues his education at Tagore School of Studies.
