Two Arrested with Fake Currency Of ₹1.5 Lakh at Guwahati’s ISBT

 

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Police apprehended two individuals regarding the movement of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) on Saturday, October 19.

Acting on intelligence reports, an operation was carried out at the Inter-State Bus Terminal by the Garchuk Police, where the two suspects were caught red handed.

The counterfeit notes found in their possession included 300 pieces in the ₹500 denomination, amounting to a face value of ₹1.5 lakh.

Additionally, two mobile phones were also seized from the suspects.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings against the accused, as authorities continue to crack down on the circulation of fake currency in the city.
