GUWAHATI: A hit-and-run case was reported on the NH-27 highway near 9th Mile on Friday, October 18, where a middle-aged man sustained severe injuries after being struck by a speeding vehicle. The incident took place at around 5:15 PM, according to eyewitness accounts.

Speaking to GPlus, a witness stated, "The incident occurred at around 5:15 PM. A speeding traveller hit the man and fled the scene without stopping."
Local residents rushed to the injured man's aid, immediately admitting him to the nearest medical facility, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. The identity of the injured man has yet to be determined, and authorities are working to gather more information about the incident.
