GUWAHATI: An operation against drug peddling was carried out by the city police resulting in the seizure of suspected heroin along with the apprehension of the two individuals in Fancy Bazar on December 22.
Based on the raid conducted by Paltan Bazar police, two habitual drug peddlers including a woman were apprehended along with illicit items including 31 vials containing 53.5 gram of suspected heroin, seven empty vials, one syringe, and one mobile phone.

The individuals apprehended are namely Suresh Sonar aged 18 years, and Meena Rahman aged 60 years.
Further investigations are underway.
