A resident of Lal Ganesh talking to GPlus on Saturday, October 5 said, "it took me one hour to cross Bishnupur today, so severe was the traffic jam.” He said that after the road from Cycle Factory to Birubari was closed to traffic for the construction of flyover, commuters have to cross Bishnupur to reach Arya Nagar.

Another resident of Barsapara said that the police have failed to resolve the issue as a stretch, which is hardly a kilometre long, requires an hour to cross.

Bishnupur has been made a one-way road, still the traffic jam in the area is regular.

A traffic police official talking to GPlus said that initially after the stretch was made one-way, the congestion was reduced. But after some road construction work started near Kali Mandir the issue has escalated. He claimed that the traffic police are trying their best to resolve the issue.

The commute time from Lokhra to Paltan Bazar has drastically increased while Bishnupur has turned into a veritable hell.
