GUWAHATI: A team from the Jalukbari Police Station apprehended a man attempting a burglary at a residence in Ananda Nagar, Adabari in Guwahati on November 21.

The accused, identified as Raj Khan from Thane, Maharashtra, was caught red-handed during the break-in. Upon interrogation, police revealed that Khan had previously served time in Dumdum Jail, West Bengal. Following his release on bail, he travelled to Guwahati by train with an accomplice from West Bengal, allegedly to target unattended houses for theft and burglary.
Authorities have confirmed that legal action has been initiated against the suspect. Investigations are ongoing to locate his accomplice and ascertain their involvement in other criminal activities.
