Traffic Restrictions Imposed In Guwahati For Bhutan King's Visit

 

GUWAHATI: In anticipation of the royal visit of Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, to Guwahati on November 3 and 4, authorities have imposed restrictions on the movement of vehicles.

The restrictions on vehicular movement have been announced for the specified dates in order to facilitate the movement of the King and to provide unobstructed passage for emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders.

Commercial goods-carrying vehicles with four or more wheels will face restrictions on NH-27 and NH-17 within Guwahati city limits.

These restrictions will be in effect from 7 AM to 11:30 PM on November 3 and from 6 AM to 12 PM on November 4.

Commercial goods-carrying vehicles with three wheels or more will encounter restrictions on DG Road and MG Road, lasting from 5 AM to 2 PM on November 3.

These traffic measures have been put in place under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati.
