GUWAHATI: In anticipation of the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ led by the Indian National Congress, and Rahul Gandhi, scheduled for January 23, 2024, traffic restrictions have been levied to avert a potential traffic congestion expected on National Highway 27 (NH-27) from Khanapara to Jalukbari.
- The yatra route is planned through Jorabat-Khanapara-Basistha Chariali-Lakhara-Gorchuk-Jalukbari in Guwahati.
- The affected stretch has been deemed to be NH-27 (Khanapara to Jalukbari) on January 23, from 9 AM to 4 PM. The commuters are advised to take the alternative GS Road route during this time.
Guwahati Traffic Police strongly advises the general public to avoid traveling on NH-27 during the specified time frame due to potential traffic congestion. Commuters are encouraged to opt for the GS Road to prevent any inconvenience.
