Tinsukia: 41 Students Fall Sick after Consuming Unhygienic Mid-Day Meal

GUWAHATI: Around 41 children fell ill after having mid-day meal prepared by a blacklisted NGO at Baruahola High School in Assam’s Tinsukia district.

The students were later admitted to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for check up.

As per reports, the meal was distributed by an NGO named Ghanashyam Seva Samiti, which was blacklisted by the New Delhi government for delivering meals containing worms.

Meanwhile, protests are erupting in different parts of the state by body of cooks and helpers after the government handed out the Midday Meal Scheme to NGOs.
