GUWAHATI : Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the people who raise anti-national slogans will be sent behind bars.

While speaking at a rally in Jabalpur on Sunday, Shah said, “Some students raised anti-national slogans in JNU and said ‘Bharat tere tukde hong ek hazar, Inshallah, Inshallah’. Shouldn’t they be put in jail? Those who would raise anti-national slogans will be sent behind bars.”

He also alleged that Congress and other opposition parties are misleading the country and are instigating people from the minority communities.

Shah also said that none of the provisions in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) mention that anyone’s citizenship will be taken under the act. He challenged Congress as well as Trinamool Congress to point out any single provision in the Act which can take away anyonone’s citizenship.
