GUWAHATI: Thieves looted approximately Rs 1 lakh from the cash counter of a shop in Guwahati. The incident happened at the Maruti Traders shop located in the Narengi Tiniali area of Guwahati.
The ceiling of the shop was cut by few unidentified man to enter the shop.
"I opened the shop and saw that the upper part of the ceiling was cut. They used a rope to enter the shop," the owner told the local reporters.
The proprietor has revealed that all the cash money was taken including the small change he kept at the change counter. The total cash stolen amount to Rs 90,000.
"We are now investigating the matter," Pabitra Bhuyan, Officer in Charge (OC) of Noonmati police station told G Plus.
