GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu has clarified there will be no lockdown in Guwahati. There are rumors going on across Assam over a state-wide lockdown.
The grapevine started after recent reports of COVID-19 cases across the city. Two popular schools across Guwahati -; Don Bosco and Holy Child - also had COVID-19 case with the former declared as a containment zone.
G Plus spoke to Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu to confirm the claims. On the issue of contemplating a lockdown in the coming days, he dismissed all such concerns.
