Prosenjit Dutta of Tezpur has been recently conferred and felicitated with the title State Record Holder by Assam Book of Records by its editor Mayuri Sarmah for his highest number of philography (Autograph) collection.
A hobby since 1992, Prosenjit has eventually set a State Record for collecting more than 170 autographs of celebrities ranging in different fields that include Bollywood/Tollywood/Assamese actors, actresses, film directors, producers, singers, music directors, theatre artistes, bands, sports persons, authors, spiritual leaders and so on.
What makes his genre of philography more significant is that all the autographs he has were collected by meeting the celebrities in person, mostly in Guwahati and Tezpur and he has a photograph taken with each of the celebrities he approached and got an autograph of.
A truly devoted autograph collector of the region and perhaps the only one in such category, his journey till has gone through many pains and odds while collecting the autographs and he believes it is just a beginning and still miles to go.
