GUWAHATI: Assam's rising tennis star Phagun Jyoti has added to her list of achievements by clinching the girls' under-14 doubles title at the AITA Championship Series Tennis in Haryana's Rohtak. The player also finished as the runner-up in the under-12 singles category.

A trainee of the All Assam Tennis Association and a student of Holy Child School, Guwahati, Phagun partnered with Haryana's Aradhana Tehlan to secure a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory over Delhi's Ira Chowdhury and Telangana's Shamira Jain in the under-14 doubles final.
However, in the under-12 singles final, Phagun was defeated by Delhi's Ira Chowdhury in a 6-2, 6-2 contest.
Ankush Dutta, Secretary of the Assam Tennis Association, congratulated Phagun on her outstanding performance, noting her consistent success in state and national-level competitions.
Phagun has also represented her school in the CBSE competitions.
