GUWAHATI: Tourist taxi services from Guwahati to Shillong has been suspended indefinitely since Last Monday.
"To keep in mind the security of the passengers and our drivers keeping the recent clashes in Shillong, we have decided to suspend the services," a media intimation by the Tourist Car Association fo Guwahati mentioned.
A clash between The Shillong Taxi Service Association and people from Them Mawlong (The Plumbers Lane) had snowballed into curfews.

Every day, as many as 400 tourist taxis ply from Guwahati to Shillong ferrying thousands of passengers to and fro.
