The hacked channel is live-streaming a video titled “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC’s $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION,” featuring Ripple’s CEO.

The top court has been using YouTube to stream hearings for years, particularly of Constitution Bench cases and matters related to public interest. Recently, the live-streamed hearing of the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case was also viewed on the platform. Hackers have now reportedly made earlier videos private.

Scammers targeting high-profile video channels for cryptocurrency promotion has become a frequent occurrence in recent years. Ripple had also previously sued YouTube for failing to curb such scams.

Supreme Court officials are currently investigating the breach, with efforts taken in place to restore the channel’s original content and security.
