Student From IIT Guwahati Found Hanging In Hostel 

GUWAHATI: A student from IIT Guwahati was found hanging in the Disang Hostel on the morning of August 9, 2024.

Talking to GPlus, a source in IIT Guwahati said, "The student was pursuing M.Tech in the institute. The deceased belongs to Uttar Pradesh. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her room." 

However, talking to GPlus, a senior official from Kamrup police said, "Investigation is under way. The cause of suicide is unknown."
