GUWAHATI: An IIT Kharagpur student hailing from the Gelapukhuri area of Tinsukia District in Assam has been found dead under mysterious circumstances. The student, Faizan Ahmed’s decomposed body was reportedly found inside his hostel room on October 14, 2022.
According to reports, 22-year-old Faizan was a hostel resident at IIT Kharagpur. The family members were unable to contact Faizan for two days. On Friday, 14 October 2022, one of the family members received a call from IIT Kharagpur authorities informing them about the death of Faizan.
According to reports, as stated by the hostellers, a smell was emanating out of Faizan's room. On suspicion, the concerned authority called the local police. They broke into Faizan’s room and found his body lying in a decomposed state.
The family member immediately rushed to Kharagpur after they received the news.
