The Assam State Govt will soon launch a hop-on-hop-off coach service for the tourists looking up to explore the beauty and places of attraction within Guwahati.
The popular HoHo service, the integrated bus facility would give people the flexibility of sightseeing at their choice of places. The service will initially be launched in 10 prominent locations of the city, with buses arriving at specific destinations at one hour intervals. Once booking a trip, the tourists can get off at a place of their choice, and again board any of the buses to reach another destination.
The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has floated the expression of interest (EoI) to launch the service in Guwahati on a public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Initially, the plan is to launch half open-roof small buses that will have tourist-friendly features as GPS-enabled commentary, trained guide onboard, CCTV, etc.
