GUWAHATI: An accident was reported on the Chandmari Flyover on Tuesday late at night at around 12:30 AM. The driver of the four-wheeler sustained severe injuries due to the mishap.
As per sources, the speeding four-wheeler collided with a divider. Fortunately, there were no other passengers or anyone else on the road around the time of the incident.
The injured driver has been identified to be Dhiraj Kumar Medhi who is a resident of Chandmari.
Speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from Chandmari Police Station said, "The car lost control at the turning and rammed into the divider. The driver was rushed to the hospital as he was severely injured. Regarding the matter of intoxication, we have asked for an alcohol test. Only after the report can we confirm."
