A special team from the Home Minsitry led by Rajiv Gauba, Secretary, Home Affairs, will visit Assam on Thursday evening to check the progress of Draft NRC.
The team will take part in a meeting with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Brahmaputra Guest House on Friday, and discuss about the NRC updates.
The special team will also hold a meeting with the NRC officials tomorrow at Assam Administrative Staff College and check the law and regulation status of the state.
