GUWAHATI: A Slow Loris was found near the Sutakal Temple in the Chandrapur area, near Guwahati on May 11.
According to reports, nearby residents, while speaking to the media said that the Slow Loris was found allegedly injured near the temple by the locals and they immediately alerted the Forest Department officials of the Chandrapur area.
Locals also stated to the media that upon discovery one of the locals tried to approach the primate which then bit that person.
The Forest Department soon arrived at the scene and the Slow Loris was safely rescued and taken away for treatment and rehabilitation.
