A six year old boy, Saatvik Agarwal, a student of A-One School, Lalganesh met with a major accident while returning from school with his mother. According to reports, they were travelling on a two wheeler and were hit by a Delhi Public School, Guwahati (DPS) School Bus.
The victims were admitted to Rahman Hospitals Private Ltd at Sixmile.
The boy is in a critical condition and needs to undergo a series of major surgeries. The six year old victim has also been kept under observation for 72 hours and has multiple complications including severe internal bleeding. Family members informed that the boy’s diaphragm was also smashed as the bus ran over his body in the accident.
Following the accident, the school authorities have assured financial support for the victim’s treatment.
The Dispur Police Station has managed to arrest the bus driver against whom an FIR was filed. The bus bearing registration number AS-01P-4810 is now in police custody.
