Sitting NPP MLA Tirong Aboh, 6 others killed in attack

GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, sitting National People's Party (NPP) MLA from Khonsa West Assembly constituency in Arunachal Pradesh, Tirong Aboh, and six others were ambushed and killed on May 21.

National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) militants are suspected to have carried out the attack.

Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP president Conrad K Sangma condemned the brutal killing in a Tweet and said "brutal attack on Tirong Aboh and his family and his security personnel." 

It should be mentioned that Aboh was seeking re-election from the Khonsa West Assembly seat.
