Simanta Sekhar, Dipak Sarma and Others From Cultural Fraternity Join BJP Assam

GUWAHATI: The spree of people from the cultural fraternity joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam continues. 

Singer Simanta Shekhar, flautist Dipak Sarma, and choreographer Pankaj Ingti joined the party today.

Many singers, actors and choreographers who had earlier been supportive of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act last December have also joined the party soon at the presence of party president Ranjit Kumar Dass.

Earlier, singer Vidya Sagar and actor Asha Bordoloi joined the party following the footsteps of Jatin Bora.
