GUWAHATI: A woman was arrested in Guwahati for allegedly killing her husband and mother-in-law, dismembering them, storing the parts in a refrigerator, and then gradually dumping the body parts in Meghalaya.
The murder was allegedly reported to be committed in August in Guwahati's Noonmati and Chandmari area.
According to media reports, the deceased have been identified as Amarjyoti Dey, and Shankari Dey who reportedly went missing in August 2022.
As per reports, the accused has been identified as Bandana Kalita who committed the crime with the help of two accomplices - Arup Deka and Dhonti Deka.
It is alleged that the Bondona’s extramarital affair may have caused the murder.
Bandana was arrested and brought to the All Women’s Police Station in Pan Bazar on February 19.
Further investigation is ongoing, said police sources.
