GUWAHATI: National Award winning filmmaker Rima Das’ Bulbul Can Sing has been selected as the opening film of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
The 2019 edition of IFFM will kickstart on August 8 in Australia.
The flim showcases the stories of three teenagers who are trying to come to terms with their sexual identities while dealing with the ideals and morales of the villagers.
The film’s opening night screening will be attended by the festival’s chief guest, Shah Rukh Khan who will present the film to the Australian audiences.
