GUWAHATI: The road towards the end of the Bhangagarh flyover connecting Paltan Bazar has been severely damaged making commute difficult.

Speaking to GPlus, an auto driver Momin Ali said, "I have been riding my autorickshaw in the area from a long time. The road here is in a poor condition. Last week there was an accident here in which a biker lost control and fell from his bike. However, it is sad that the PWD has turned a blind eye."
A street vendor from the area said, "it has been a long time since the roads were repaired...we have informed the PWD many times... I hope they take necessary action..." He said that matters become worse after it rains since the damaged surface is hidden under water posing risk to unsuspecting travelers.
When contacted, officials from the PWD refused to say anything on this. However, a senior officer said they would look into the matter soon.
