GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, a retired employee of Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) allegedly committed suicide after he failed to receive retirement benefits.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Anil Kalita (62) took his own life while his family members were out for Duga puja celebration.
It is to be mentioned that the deceased was unable to bear the expenses of the family members as he had not received his retirement benefits.
