GUWAHATI: A team from Sonapur Police Station conducted a raid on Wednesday, March 5, at the residence of Basindra Barman in Kalangpar village. The operation uncovered a secret underground liquor warehouse being operated out of Barman's home.

Authorities revealed that Barman had been using his residence as a storage and distribution point for illegal alcohol.
The Seized liquor stock are:
- Beer (650ml) – 37 cartons
- Beer (500ml) – 4 cartons
- Whiskey (180ml) – 16 cartons
Legal action is currently underway as the investigation continues.
