GUWAHATI: The National Scholarship Portal has announced an extension of the application deadline for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Assam for the academic year 2024-25.

Students can now submit their applications online until November 15, providing eligible candidates and their families with extended time to apply for these scholarships.
Both the Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST students in Classes IX and X, as well as the Post-Matric Scholarship for ST students, require applicants to meet specific eligibility criteria, including a maximum annual family income of ₹ 2.5 lakh.
Additionally, the verification period for Institute Nodal Officers has also been set, concluding on November 30.
