GUWAHATI: Sayan Mazumdar of Darrang College in Sonitpur district, Assam has secured the first position in the science stream in 2019 HS examination.
Sayan scored a total of 478 marks out of 500.

Sayan has shared the top rank with Bitupan Arandhara from Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon, Assam. Bitupan also secured a total of 478 marks.
In the science stream, a total of 31,577 candidates appeared for the exam out of which 13,990 were males and 7,033 were females. The pass percentage among the male candidates stands at 89.22 and female at 92.97.
