This year, the President of India has approved the conferment of 139 Padma Awards, including 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri awards
GUWAHATI: Sattriya dance maestro from Assam, Jatin Goswami, is set to receive the Padma Bhushan Award for 2025 in the field of arts, as announced on Saturday, January 25.
The 92-year-old, a former Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee, is being recognised for his contribution to Indian classical dance.

Furthermore, Anil Kumar Boro and Gita Upadhyay have been conferred with the Padma Shri award for their contributions to literature and education, respectively.
Joynacharan Bathari and Reba Kanta Mahanta have also been honoured with the Padma Shri for their exceptional achievements in the arts.
